MAINTENANCE
Preventive maintenance is the key to the safe and efficient operation of your heating and cooling system. So, we recommend our seasonal tune-up service. Skipping maintenance may lead to health hazards and equipment damage, not to mention the extra money you’ll spend on utility bills as well as repairs.
COOLING YOUR HOUSE
We provide maintenance and repair service on existing air conditioning systems and heat pumps. When further repairs are not feasible, we can replace old equipment with new, high-efficiency systems made by Bryant, Armstrong Air, Ducane, Sanyo, Fujitsu, or Mitsubishi. Other brands are also available. Older air conditioning equipment usually is rated between 8 to 10 SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating) in contrary to new units that are in the range between 13 to 21SEER. Greater SEER number reflects more energy efficient equipment that has lower cost of operation.
INDOOR AIR QUALITYWe offer installation and maintenance of media air cleaners and whole house cleaners, made by Honeywell or Aprilaire, that filter the air in your house and capture up to 99.97 % of the particles, only 0.3 microns in size, which pass through them. Also, we install and maintain whole-house humidifiers that add moisture to the air during dry winter months.
NEW SYSTEM DESIGN
We take measurements or work with drawings, and then we do all the necessary calculations to find the heat load (heat gains and heat losses) for your house or office, so that we can select the right equipment. Also, we size ducts and registers (or piping for hydronic systems) to make sure your house heats and cools evenly. We recommend dividing your house into zones for easiest control and best results. The concept of zoning applies to forced-air systems or hydronic systems. We can work with your builder or architect on new heating and cooling system design for additions or for new construction. |
HEATING YOUR HOUSE
Not all heating systems are the same. There are forced-air heating systems (either heat pump or gas/oil-fired furnace) and boiler-based systems (oil/gas-fired) that use hot water or steam for heating media. We service and install all of kinds of heating systems, and estimates for new system installation are always free.
The new generation of forced-air, gas-fired condensing furnaces reaches 95% AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) - that’s at least 15% more efficient than older chimney vented furnaces. Speaking of forced-air systems, we recommend HYBRID SYSTEMS for replacement of your existing or new installation in your addition or your new house. How do these systems work? We set up a heat pump and high efficiency furnace to work together—so on warmer days, most of the house heat comes from heat pump (which is less expensive than the furnace). When the temperature drops to the point that the heat pump isn’t efficient any longer, then the furnace works more frequently. Since we have a lot of days with temperatures that are sufficient for heat pump to work well, the heating savings add up throughout the whole heating season. During summer, your heat pump works in cooling mode––so it removes humidity and cools your house the same way that air conditioning does. BOILERS
We use boilers made by Burnham, Bryant, Utica Boilers, Weil Mclain, Crown, and more.
A number of new gas-fired condensing boilers are compact, and their Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) could be as high as 95%. Boilers are used most of the time together with radiators, baseboards or air handlers with hydronic heat exchanger. We also offer the RADIANT FLOOR HEATING SYSTEM—an excellent choice for kitchen or bathroom heating. Your floor will be just warm enough to provide heat and a relaxing ambience. We use the best quality materials, tested for many years in Europe and available now on our market. REHAU has created a whole array of connectors, Raupex pipes, panels, and controls that make installation easy and the system long-lasting. |
